Volunteering is core to the history  and ethos of the club. This is why membership  is so very affordable!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The club has no staff – we all muck in to mow the lawns, maintain the haulage gear, repair the clubs boats, and all the other small tasks that keep the place running.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So if you enjoy DIY, sewing, gardening or getting covered in grease; there is always someone who will welcome a hand and chance to chat about the river, being on the water and to likely share a funny yarn.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Tuition on-the-water is also given on a strictly voluntary basis, such is the culture – and joy –  of sharing skills and experience within the club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are coming to the club with experience or qualifications that you are able to share, then we would hope to\u00a0give you that opportunity.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

SWFYC seek to provide the chance to take a break from work and everyday life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Use the club house for a chat, cuppa, relax on the veranda, rest after a walk along the river, take in the wildlife, big skies and far horizon views….<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

We do all we can so our members can safely enjoy the club. We have safety boats, a Welfare Officer, several 1st Aiders, an MHFAider and even a De-Fib on site.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

We have a range of activities, on and off the water. You can do as much or as little as you like!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Each of our sections operate a WhatsApp group so that we can keep in touch with each other, making plans and sharing experiences.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Members can use the club 24hrs a day, 365 days a year.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
